When visiting the West side of Kauai,
plan on stopping in the quaint town of Hanapepe.
And when in Hanapepe, walking across the "Swinging Bridge" and dining at Bobbie's "HOME OF THE ACTION PACKED BENTO" are a must.
Named after the Owner's Mother, Bobbie's is definitely worth the stop.
"Bento" otherwise known as "Box Lunch", is the most popular way
the locals dine when on the go.
Dine in or take it with you, Bobbie's definitely has the largest portions around.
At Bobbie's, the portions are intentionally made large for the local surfers, as they need the energy before hitting the surf and more for later when the surfings done.
Other specialties include Fried Saimin, The Bobbie Burger, Portabella Mushroom Sandwich, Portuguese Bean soup, Ono (king mackeral) with Asian Tomato Salsa or Lemon Caper Sauce. Also different variations of Chicken Plates, Seafood Plates, Pork Plates, and Beef Plates.
